Sammy Furnival

Yoga Instructor

Sammy has over 7 years experience teaching yoga and has been working with the body for 11 years on top of that having come from a background in contemporary dance, most of her life has been spent honing her skills in both physical and energetical disciplines. Her classes aim to empower, whilst still being fun and playful. A strong focus is placed on cultivating a space that enables students to flow through their physical practice with a detailed emphasis on the breath and its synchronicity with the body, an in-depth view on alignment and an awareness of what’s coming up on the inside. Her classes are always delivered with a sense of kindness and compassion, a space to explore philosophy and an opportunity to practice to feel nourished and find a deep sense of acceptance. Falling, shining, wobbling, smiling, balancing and sighing are all heavily encouraged.

  • If you had 25 hours in your day, what would you do with the extra hour?

Sleep, read or masturbate, all things that are incredibly nourishing but that I don't do enough of.

  • If you were a wrestler what would be your entrance theme song?

    Shackles - Mary, Mary

  • What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

    Don't take it personally
